Develop a Position Statement:
Communication is an important aspect of any public relations effort and in explaining a position to an audience. Presenting a briefing to audiences of different sizes is a necessary skill for any public administrator. Arguing a position in public also is a requirement.

Using the pro and con arguments, develop a briefing for your political candidate on the issue you discussed. Prepare a conclusion concerning your selected issue. In reaching your conclusion, assess each side of the argument, compare the merits of each, and take a position. Support your position.

Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.

Length: 10-15 slides (with a separate reference slide)

Notes Length: 50-100 words for each slide

Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style.
