• Create a new Adobe InDesign document that has three pages. Change the page sizes to be exactly 5in x 5in, 8in x 3in, and 7in x 4in (portrait or landscape orientation).
• Turn facing pages off.
• Use a minimum of .125in margins and standard printing bleeds on your document and your artwork. The bleeds on your artwork will need to be created manually.
• Use margins and bleeds the way they were intended. Don't forget to extend anything that touches the edge of your design .125in past the cut line!
• Design a unique sticker on each of your 3 pages. You may choose to design one full size sticker or multiple smaller stickers per page.
• Use vector art created in InDesign. Do not use placed raster graphics.
• Do not use transparency (like Effects or Gradient Feather.) Regular gradients are okay.
• Create a new DIELINE spot color and a new DIELINE layer. Make sure the color of your spot color stands out against the background color of your sticker.
• Establish a cutline using .25pt - 1pt strokes with the Pen, Line, and Pencil tools. Use straight lines to indicate cuts. Do not use dashed or dotted lines to present scoring folds or perforations. The VersaCAMM printer/plotter can not perform these operations.
• Make sure your dieline is by itself on the DIELINE layer and move the Layer to the top of your Layers panel.
• Change the dieline stroke to be an OVERPRINT STROKE. It will be a knockout stroke by default. Use the Attributes Panel to make this change.
• Rename the rest of your layers according to what is on them.
• Lock all layers when you are done.
• Add all colors used to the Swatches Panel (Process CMYK). Do not use any RGB or spot colors for this project (except for the dieline color).
