You can make research just on the topic that you agree on with the professor in advance. There are no bad topics, but some of them could be hard to research during one semester using relatively simple Econometric methods, so we need to discuss and simplify topic of your interest.

First Presentation –Theoretical background of the research
•First presentation must cover:
•Using previous contributions in your research area (suggestion to use scientific articles published in journal that are indexed in CA WoSand/or Scopus database and not text-books) briefly explain phenomenon that will be analysed in your research.
•Ground theoretically or using practical reasoning why your research is important and how it can be applied.
•Explain the aim of your research.
•Describe factors affecting phenomenon.
•Formulate at least one hypothesis that you want to test.
•Explain models/methods that were previously used to analyze phenomenon.
•Provide references using APA style.
•During first presentation professor should see that you understand the phenomenon and what kind of data you need to collect and what methods you will apply for the empirical research

Second Presentation –Collected data for the research
•Second presentation must cover:
•Explanation on primary collected data
•Explanation on data transformations
•Print screen of data sample in Excel and GRETL
•Visualization of the collected data to find possible links (not an empirical research). For the information on how to visualize collected data please refer to Word file ‘Visualization of the collected data’
•During second presentation professor should see that you collected right data, you are able to manage it and you are ready for empirical calculations.

Third Presentation –Analysis of Collected Data with GRETL
•Third presentation must cover:
•Interpretation of estimations results in line with the aim and the hypothesis of the research
•Concluding the results.
