About Evan
My tutoring style is simple, I treat working with everyone as a blank canvas. I believe studying mathematics is a journey and we all start from somewhere. My first goal is always to find out where you are at with your coursework currently, and work hard to empower you to get to where you want to be. What I am really good at is making sure my students have all the right tools in their toolbox to solve hard problems. I am always striving to strike a balance between a formal approach that builds mathematical maturity, with an informal approach that builds intuition. Sometimes we may want to focus on the big picture and talk about the broader meaning, while other times we may want to explore the finer details of a theorem or derivation. Either way, I can promise it will be fun and interesting because this is awesome material which you can use to do really amazing things. The work we do will always be focused on building up your confidence and skill so you can rock your problem sets!
