Abstract
This research paper is aimed to determine the impact of training and development programs on the organizational growth. For this purpose, Alliance Healthcare in UK is chosen as context. The research is based on primary and secondary both data sources in quantitative manner by interpretation the results and supporting them with the literatures.
From the research study, it is found that training and development programs has a positive influence on employees’ skills and knowledge, which improves their efforts and consequently ensures the organizational growth. It is also found that the application of training and development programs as per the need and skills of the employees may be more beneficial for the firms to determine their growth in the industry.

1.1Back Ground of the Study
In this competitive era, it is necessary for the firms to have skilled and talented employees to attain competitive advantages over the competitors. For this, organizations conduct training and development programs to improve skills, efficiency and knowledge of employees, so that they could perform effectively to achieve individual and organizational objectives and contribute in growth of the company (Schein, 2003). Therefore, it is beneficial for companies to organize training sessions for improving organizational effectiveness and performance in a significant manner.

For this assessment, Alliance Healthcare, a leading wholesaler, distributor and retailer of medical, surgical and healthcare products throughout the Europe, is selected. It is currently operating its business in Europe and also seeking to expand the business globally. For this, the firm hires and recruits highly skilled and knowledgeable people and provides some training facilities, which are effective to improve the skills and knowledge of employees. These facilities of the business are also helping the firm to achieve the business growth by expanding the business in different regions of Europe and world. The training and development practices at the organization are also enabling it to be competitive in the market environment.
