Introduction:
Leadership in an organization is of paramount importance as the employees need somebody to guide and motivate them continuously. There are various leadership traits that make a person a suitable leader in teams of organizations. The different characteristics of a good leader includes the following: the leader must be honest and forward looking, he must be competent and have the ability to empower people and inspire them, he must set an example for his followers and lead change in the organization. Above all, the leader must have a shared vision which he wants all of his team members to achieve collaboratively.
Over the years, there were many leadership styles like the bureaucratic leadership, barometric leadership, democratic leadership, and transactional leadership styles that have been studied by various authors infinitely. However the contemporary evolution of informal leaders in the modern organizations as against the formal leaders is of interest to the management and hence this paper tries to figure out the importance and advantages of informal leaders in the organizational setup.
The layout of this paper is organized as follow. First, the introduction part introduces the paper to the readers. Second section highlights the scenario or the context in which this paper is written as a note to the supervisor for career advancement for a leadership position. Third section details the supervisor of the organization about the theoretical framework of the emergence of informal leaders in organizations. Fourth section details about the advantages of the informal leaders to the organization and finally the last section will reflect on the informal leadership in organizations.
Scenario or Context:

There are differences to how the managers or formal leaders think and how informal leaders think. Formal leaders who are in managerial power think and look inwardly whereas the informal leaders focus more on the employees, have team collaboration that happens voluntarily and are outward looking in their strategies.
