Question
1. In epidemiology we are looking to determine the relationship between exposures and an outcome of interest for a large group of people (a population). Sometimes the population is the whole population of the country. Sometimes it will be just a community or a workplace.
Usually it is not practical to measure the exposure and outcome for the entire population of interest. In order to do a study in a practical way, we select a subset of the people in the population (sample) and collect our data for the study from just that sample of people.
Describe 2 things we might want to do to make sure that the subset of the population we select will actually be representative of the whole population we are trying to measure. What is your understanding of external validity?

2. Choose a health issue using epidemiological principles. Determine the data collection procedure and describe the process of hypotheses creation and testing. Present your findings.

Reflection 1
Sampling and Inclusivity
The reflection requires the student to analyze at least two applicable measures to ensure that the selected population represents the entire population and has no inherent characteristics that would affect the results of the study. The most appropriate verification methods include the optimization and the homogeneity
