Metropolitan Art Museum ReviewI visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art with my friend. The Metropolitan Museum is one of the ten largest museums in the world and it is a premiere destination for tourists, art lovers, and for New Yorkers from all five boroughs. It is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. For me, it was my first visit. The museum is organized according to geographical region. The American wing was recently renovated and it boasts a beautiful courtyard that looks out onto Central Park. The Egyptian wing houses a temple in a large space that resembles the banks of the Nile River. The Greek and Roman wing has a good collection of statues of gods and goddesses.
The staff are very helpful and they have free maps available to help navigate the museum. It’s a large museum so it is very easy to get lost. During my visit, I observed many objects of art from different civilization: the arts of the Ancient Near East, African Art, Asian art, Egyptian art, European paintings, Greek and Roman art, and Islamic art....
