You MUST present a Visual Composition for an ARTISTIC STATEMENT- nightmare on the wall with the wall having breakage or cracks and the nightmare scene is coming out of the wall in a way.
You are the creative director, you decide what and how you want to portray the imagery.
You must use ALL of your own images (digital cameras or scanned)
A minimum of 7 images is required - more may be necessary to create your vision.
You should do your own photo shoots for this project and NOT use photos you already have! The images must be individually color corrected on layers (can use Smart Objects as well).
There should be depth, hierarchy and flow. There should be color adjustments, histogram levels, and individual masks. No deleting pixels. Use a lot of adjustment techniques and color corrections or color changes though no filters.
The approximate size of the project should be 8 x 10 landscape inches at 300 resolution ppi. The project should be in color (that does not mean you cannot have Black and White or colorized areas). This is a guideline only, you have the freedom to use a size ratio that best represents your piece.
We have discussed many image correction and manipulation procedures:
- You should fix any imperfections and use all adjustment procedures you deem necessary to make your photos look their best (whether corrective or artistic).
- All images must be on their own layers (named properly) and mask out areas you do not need - DO NOT DELETE PIXELS.
- Instead of just laying images on the work area, I want to see you use blending/compositing techniques.
- Make sure you have an idea that is amazing BEFORE you start work on the computer - SKETCH!
REMEMBER: Create with your mind, not the computer!
Artistic balance must be kept in your final project, not only with placement of your images, but also with your color choices.
