Phenol red broth

Sim medium
1. SIM test media is a complex three-part test that tests at the same time the presence of hydrogen sulfide, indole, or the mobility of the micro-organism. If we do not want to use the sulfide portion of the test, than we can omitted from the media - sodium thiosulfate (as part of the substrate) and ferric ammonium citrate (as an indicator). The above-mentioned ingredients are necessary to identify the occurrence of hydrogen sulfide.
