The purpose of this paper is to check how fish and mouse under germ-free (GF) conditions respond to the colonization of microbiota in the gut; these studies tried to understand if any difference is present between the two organisms. The approach used is the following: make germ-free organisms (gnotobiotics), transplant microbiota, analyze microbiota taken from the gut (PCRs amplified DNA).
