Module Project 1.0 Introduction

1.1 Describing my chosen organisation
The organisation I have selected to accomplish the objective of this module is Zain Saudi Arabia. This is a mobile telecommunication service company based in Saudi Arabia. According to Bloomberg (2018), the firm operates, acquires, dispenses, installs, administrates, and maintains mobile telephone services in the country. More to this, Zain Saudi Arabia usually offer its customers with prepaid and postpaid voice plans besides Omrah and Hajj packages, not mentioning mobile devices. At the same time, the organisation provides 4G Internet Services and devices, roaming services, applications, rewards programs, messaging, calling, and electronic services (Bloomberg, 2018). The onset of Zain Saudi Arabia was in 2008, thereby making it the third mobile network operator in the nation.

1.2 An emerging technology that the organisation might consider adopting
The technology that Zain might consider integrating into its business model is carrier-grade Wi-Fi. The technical requirements of the invention tend to characterise it according to InterDigital (n.d.). According to the agency, the carrier-grade Wi-Fi has higher air-interface efficiency than 802.11 Wi-Fi to support an extremely high number of users. Besides, the technology offers support not only for robust but also dynamic deployments such as flash crowds and dense organisations of APs and STAs. In addition to this, InterDigital (n.d.) supposes that the invention offers exceptional bandwidth and speed, more reliability, and optimised security through federated access and 802.1X support. 1.3 The rationale for selecting the technology and the reason for Zain Saudi Arabia’s and my interest in and relevance to the invention
Recently, my organisation launched the 5G cellular network. Such a transition has brought about new demands for both the company and the users or the customers. My interest in Career Grade Wi-Fi comes from the notion that my knowledge of the technology will place me in a better position to work well with it once it is adopted in my organisation. The lessons I will gain will help me to prepare better for the transition in the case that Zain Saudi Arabia implements the change. Hence, I will strive to support the revolution as opposed to inhibiting it, which is a common issue in change management.
