Maintaining and ethical outlook is very important in decision making and the increasing competitiveness has further made it important to assess the ethicality of every decision. There are many theories related to ethics and in this paper, three have been analyzed. The first is utilitarianism as per which individuals should take actions that would cause the greatest total benefit. It calls for subordination of personal interests to group interests for the promotion of greater good (Velasquez, 2012). The second theory is virtue theory as per which an individual is judged by their character and their motivations.
