1. INTRODUCTION
In the past 20 years, there has been a constant pressure on companies to pay more attention to the environmental and resource consequences of the products and services they offer, as well as the processes they deploy (Kleindorfer et al., 2005). To survive in the competitive and demanding business environment, Companies started focusing on the relationship between profit, people, and the planet, which is also referred as a sustainability triple bottom line. In order to integrate these three dimensions into the business processes, operations and supply chains, companies are developing and aligning their strategies towards sustainability. Considering their importance towards the achievement of sustainability objectives, strategies concerning companyâ€™s operations and capacity are very important.

As one of the most successful retailer, Tesco is chosen for the analysis in this report. Tesco is managing its operations in a successful manner, which is according to the Hayes (2006) vital for the accomplishment of strategic objectives and achieving competitive advantage. Tesco is one of the largest retailer in the UK. Company is engaged in the business of Retailing and associated activities (Retail), Retail banking and insurance services (Reuters, 2018). Company is operating with more than 2,300 supermarkets and convenience stores and employing 326,000 people (Encyclopedia.com, 2018). Tesco engaged in e-commerce business (Tesco.com) in 2000, and since then, this grocery home-shopping service quickly developed into the largest of its kind in the world (Encyclopedia.com, 2018).

The purpose of this paper is to analyze operations of the Tesco Company. It aims to address the key strategic decisions Tesco Company has made in terms of sustainable operations and capacity strategies. This paper is organized as follows. Second section contains the literature review of the methods, models and frameworks proposed for the strategic operations management activities analysis. Section 3 shows the analysis of the Tesco company operations management activities, following the framework proposed by Walker et al. (2014). In section four, operations strategy matrix for Tesco is given, based on which recommendations were formulated and provided in concluding section five.

2. LITERATURE REVIEW
Up until now, sustainability concept influenced on many companies in terms of their organization, functions, operations and business processes. When it comes to the supply chain, this focus was moved through the years from local
