F2(W,X,y,Z) = w'y'z' + wy'z + yz' + x'Z
a) Obtain the truth table from the equation.
b) Build and test this circuit using the simulation software. Be sure that you convince yourself that the circuit behaves as indicated in your truth table.
Hand in the truth table and a jpg of a properly documented circuit labelling the inputs and output as well as including the Lab number, question number, and student names/ numbers. See the sample circuit diagram in Module 2 of BlackBoard.
2) For each of the following functions, simplify using Karnaugh Maps, build. and hand in a properly documented circuit. You need to submit both a K-Map as well as the circuit for each part.
a) F(a,b,c,d) = G(0,2,3,7,8,11,13, 15)
b) F(a,b,c,d) = G(0,2,5, 9, 11)
ä(a,b,c,d) = G(1,7,8,10,14)
3) Design a build a logic circuit to control the light in a large room. The room has 4 switches and the light should turn on if Switch 1 (switched numbered 1, 2. 3. 4) is on or there is an even number of switches in the on position. Hand in the truth table, K-map, and a properly documented circuit showing the implement with:
a) AND / OR / NOT gates
b) NAND gates
