Problem: Given the rock and fluid properties in Table 1 and the pressure drawdown test data from a vertical well in a deep reservoir given in Table 2, do a comprehensive well test analysis by using the appropriate interpretation methods which may include log-log, semi-log, or Cartesian plots. Answer these questions: 1) Calculate the logarithmic derivative using the methods discussed in th_04. For undergrad students ONLY Bourdet Three-Point Method is enough. However, graduate students MUST use all three methods and show their calculation in three separate columns in excel, i.e. a) Quick Two-Point, b) Bourdet Three-Point, and c) Least-Squares Fitting Method. It's highly encouraged to do the derivative calculations by writing VB codes in Excel, but that's optional. will consider 5-10 points extra for VB codes. 2) What type of reservoir you are dealing with? Explain in detail the reservoir model and show your justifications on the plots. 3) Characterizethe reservoir by calculating all the properties which you can determine from such well test interpretation, i.e. k, S, C. etc. 4) Do you see the effect of boundary on the pressure data? If yes, at what time the data shows the impact of boundary? And if yes, what is the radius of investigation?
