Pisano (2016) opined that Leonardo da Vince was a recognized and respected engineer both in life and afterward. Although most of his discoveries have been explained, a majority of his work remains unknown as they were not recorded at the time of his death. Leonardo was motivated by the idea of flying most of his life. As will be shown later, he was the first person to come up with the idea of a parachute in the 15th century though his opinion was not borrowed until in the late 18th century. However, many of his ideas were impractical, many are only implemented well, and many have to wait hundreds of years before they can be applied. His relationship with the masonry is also well-known, and speculation is made repeatedly - some are more realistic, some are full of imagination.

Leonardo da Vinci was a member of the Renaissance community and had many talents. Although he was an artist and a musician, he also had expertise in science, mathematics, and engineering.
