I disagree with the criticism, but I understand it. Where one stands regarding the relevance and value of philosophy is, I think, greatly dependent on how you define the terms ‘relevance’ and ‘value’ in relation to ‘life’. It depends on what one takes life to be, and, thus, on what one takes to be important....
