1. "Two years ago, I lost my best friend. It was the first time anyone close to me has died. He was visiting England on a semester abroad with the college when he walked out of a restaurant and collapsed on the street. They say he had a blood vessel burst in his brain that was probably weak from birth. They brought him back and had a funeral, but his parents live about 500 miles away. They didn't invite any of his friends to the funeral. I went to see his grave, but it turned out to be a plaque in a mausoleum. It was as if he vanished. It's hard to believe he really died. I often wonder if he knew how important he was to his friends."
