Determine a potential study you might want to conduct in which you would need to collect numerical data.Draft a quantitative research design plan to address the following:

State the research problem. Support it with five scholarly resources.
Explain how you could use the quantitative methodology to address your research problem. Specifically, identify and discuss a design that is associated with a quantitative methodology that you would consider to answer your research questions.
State the purpose of the research effort. Make sure the purpose is aligned with the problem.
List one or more quantitative research questions that would be appropriate for a quantitative study. Make sure your research questions are aligned with your research problem and your purpose statement.
State a hypothesis.
Discuss and justify your sample and population.
Explain how you would recruit participants.
Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages

Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.

Research problem
The research on motivation is growing rapidly. One area of focus is the role of leadership in influencing motivation. One of the studies that look into the issue is that by Elmer (2019). The researcher revealed that leaders are usually able to motivate followers based on action. This outcome, according to Elmer (2019), arises from the notion that humans are socially oriented and cooperative by design, and that they tend to demonstrate the ability of organized actions. Therefore, if the leader's philosophy is action-oriented, it is highly likely that the followers will have the desire to accomplish the vision. The problem with Elmer's (2019) study is that it does not clarify whether the philosophy of the leader triggers intrinsic or extrinsic motivation. In addition to this, the study by Elmer (2019) lacks in that it is generic and not specific. This is to say that the inquiry does not relate the effects of leadership on motivation to a specific discipline or field.
Descahamps et al. (2016) and Fransen et al. (2018) fill this gap by claiming that leadership, as it applies to the organized sports context, for example, sports team, contributes towards increasing intrinsic motivation. However, these researchers pinpointed that intrinsic motivation among the player surge only where the leaders are more encouraging and if they provide positive feedback (Descahamps et al., 2016 and Fransen et al., 2018). Reinforcing these thoughts, Van Roekel, Heininga, Vrijen, Snippe, and Oldehinkel (2019) established that where the followers experience positive emotions, it follows that their mental health along with happiness surges and this triggers motivation. In a further study by Yue and Akhtar (2014), the scholars revealed that transformational leaders can trigger improved motivation through cognitive-based trust and affect-based trust.
