To Fight Personal Sedentary Lifestyle

Current Situation

College life is a period of great physical, emotional and cognitive change for young adults as it provides them independence to make decisions and choices.
But the choices we make have consequences that we must enjoy or deal with. Many of the decisions that college students make relate to their lifestyles and behaviors (Deliens 201).

One of the most important decisions that we make as college students is to either incorporate or ignore physical activity (PA) into their busy lifestyles (Keating 119).
Studies have shown that the majority of students, at least 23.3%, report about zero PA involvement every week, with only about 18% stating “physically active lifestyles” (Buckworth and Nigg 29).

The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans suggests that low levels of physical activity are a major health concern for most people (Racette 246).
Consequently, I have realized that I am not an exception.

After intensive self-reflection and self analysis, I have found that my level of physical activity is quite low because in most cases, I do not incorporate any physically active behavior in my life routine for more than a month. This shows that I lead a sedentary lifestyle.

In fact, the self-reflection and analysis show that I spend more than 80% of my time doing less physically involving chores such as reading, studying, writing, researching, watching TV and videos and using my mobile phones.
All these activities, though mentally involving, are not connected to health and fitness behaviors. Therefore, my lifestyle can be considered sedentary and risky to my health.

Desired Situation

My desired state is to have at least 6 hours per day and 30 per week on physically active activities.
I expect to decrease my likelihood of developing preventable diseases and conditions such as obesity, heart problem, blood pressure and others.

I have to develop an effective action learning plan that will see me develop a new timetable. New routines will be added in the table and will include three activities- jogging, bicycle riding, and gym. To achieve this, I need to instill the idea
