For this assignment, you will use your research question to find and assess at least five sources. Then you will use that research to come up with a thesis statement. Keep in mind that some websites, such as certain government websites, will fall into one of these two categories. One of your sources should come from an audio or video source, but still be credible. Think of podcasts, interviews, or convention panel discussions.
Step 2 (20 pts) - Write down your research question.
Step 3 (35 pts)– Complete your five source assessments. For each assessment, you should include
-a full citation of the source in your citation style
-a brief summary or the source, focusing on what the authors are doing.
-a brief explanation of how the source connects to your research question. Maybe the source includes supporting evidence for a certain point, or refutes a certain point, or sheds light in a new area.
Step 4 (15 pts)– Create a thesis statement and reasoning for your thesis based on your findings. Keep in mind that you are forming an argument, but you will ultimately be writing a literature review, meaning you will be crafting a position based on the views of previously-published authors and their work.
