I'm a Chemistry PhD and have been both working as researcher and teaching Chemistry for Engineers. My research work is related to Food Chemistry: I have been studying food gels, starch systems and vegetable proteins structures. Regarding my teaching work, I have taught Biological Chemistry during some semesters and was assistant in some Chemistry lab courses. Since 2009, I have been teaching Applied Chemistry for Engineers, comprising the backbone topic of General Chemistry. I'm really passionate about this: I enjoy discussing with the students phenomena that are commonly observed in real life and in industrial processes. This is something that is really interesting for me since I have found going over common situations a way for making Chemistry more appealing for Engineers. Lastly, I would like you to know that I'm a start-up founder along with two colleagues. We are developing biosensors for assessing industrial compounds, and within this truly uncertain organization I could become aware of some passionate topics I had almost forgotten like Analytical Chemistry.
