I am a Master's student in Statistics at ETH Zurich, and I have previously obtained my BSc in Mathematics (cum laude) at Lafayette College (2019). Throughout primary and high-school, I have attended numerous National and International Mathematical Olympiads, which, among other things, helped me to gain valuable problem solving skills and obtain the necessary routine to successfully approach my undergraduate studies.
My tutoring experience started in high school, while helping younger students to prepare on Mathematical Olympiad topics (Number Theory, Combinatorics, Algebra, Geometry) by organizing lectures, providing individual tutorship, and creating and discussing problem sets. In college, I was an individual tutor for variety of different courses, some of which include Calculus, Discrete Math, Linear Algebra etc.
I have successfully attended courses in a great range of mathematical areas starting from Probability and Statistics to Analysis and Number Theory. As such I am familiar with the format and the material of most of the undergraduate math courses. In addition, being a recent grad, I can easily recall my experience for the course of interest, which might make things go smoother since I was in your spot not a long time ago.
My previous tutoring experience has given me the opportunity to work with different types of students, and I believe I can easily adjust the level and way of presenting the material to the student individually. I am patient and I am happy to elaborate on one particular concept multiple times, as well as discuss on problem set solutions even after providing you assistance with the assignment. Even after one session or one homework set done with me, don't hesitate to contact me again in case of any follow-up questions, being it correlated to the particular assignment or not.
