The second objective is to analyze step three of the commander and staff organization and operations, that is, Course of Action (COA) development task of generate options. After describing the underlying concepts for each objective, this paper will present a thorough analysis of how the notions support the MDMP process. I will use a historical example to elicit a greater understanding of the war-gaming concept.
