Human resource development is a part of a human resources management division, whose main concerns are training and the development of organizational human resources. In almost all universities there is an increased focus on topics such as procedures for training needs analysis, training program creation, training material preparation, learning and knowledge dissemination process, evaluation of training processes, outcome evaluation, ROI determination, E-learning procedures, legal issues in training, cross cultural training programs, and future human resource development challenges.
There is a number of topics available for research in the HRD domain; issues such as the comparison of HRD in public and private sectors, HRD in health sectors, and the comparison of HRD strategies and procedures in public sector systems. Diversity management, cultural competency management while developing the workforce, and globalization are some of the most popular subdomains of human resources development.
